Starting with the 2027 high school season, NFHS baseball and softball allow one-way electronic communication from the coach in the dugout to the pitcher and the catcher. Through 2026, it was catcher only.

The rule still does not put receivers on infielders, outfielders, or runners. The path is still one-way. The coach still works from the dugout.

Softball’s 2027 language is the same idea: pitcher and catcher, on defense, one-way, from the dugout. State associations adopt NFHS playing rules and may add their own device policies.

Every system includes a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
That warranty does not cover accidental damage, in-play breakage, impact damage, loss or theft, cosmetic damage that does not affect operation, intentional abuse, or unauthorized modification.
Baseball and softball are hard on equipment. If you want breakage covered, that is what DiamondCare is for — and it is your choice, not a line item you are forced to carry.

The Coach Tablet is not covered for accidental damage. Loss, theft, cosmetic-only damage, intentional abuse, and non-PerfectCall equipment are not covered. Coverage follows the serial numbers on your system, and a replacement inherits whatever term and claim allowance is left.
