About ยท Level Playing Field

Level Playing Field

Great technology shouldn’t depend on the size of a program’s budget.

Every high school baseball and softball program wants to give its athletes the best opportunity to compete. Not every program has the same resources to do it.

The Level Playing Field program by PerfectCall provides PerfectCall systems to high school baseball and softball programs where financial limitations would otherwise put this technology out of reach.

No stripped-down version. No short-term demo.

Selected programs receive a complete PerfectCall system and the support needed to put it to work.

Why it matters

Better tools. More opportunity.

Technology is becoming a bigger part of baseball and softball at every level.

Electronic play calling can simplify communication, help coaches manage the game, and give athletes experience with tools increasingly used at the college level.

But access to those tools shouldn’t be determined entirely by the size of an athletic department or booster club.

Level Playing Field exists to help close that gap.

The award

What selected programs receive

A complete PerfectCall system appropriate for their program, including:

  • PerfectCall Coach Tablet
  • PerfectCall Hub
  • Player devices
  • Charging and carrying equipment
  • System setup and onboarding
  • PerfectCall support
  • Included service coverage for the award period

The goal is simple: give the program everything it needs to actually use PerfectCall—not just a piece of the system.

Eligibility

Who we’re looking for

Level Playing Field is intended for high school baseball and softball programs where financial need creates a meaningful barrier to accessing technology like PerfectCall. We consider several factors, including:

  • Economic need within the school community
  • Resources available to the baseball or softball program
  • Athletic department and booster support
  • Number of student-athletes who would benefit
  • How the program expects to use PerfectCall
  • The impact an award could have on the program

There is no single number that determines whether a school qualifies. We look at the whole program.

Selection

How recipients are selected

  1. Applications are accepted throughout the year.

  2. Most recipients are selected during periodic award rounds so programs can be considered fairly alongside other applicants.

  3. In cases of exceptional demonstrated need, PerfectCall may make an award outside of a scheduled selection round.

  4. Qualified applications may also remain active for consideration in a future award round.

Selection is based on need and expected impact—not on the size, record, ranking, or visibility of the program.

What we need

  • Who you are, and the school. Name, role, and how to reach the program. We use this to confirm the school exists.
  • Need and impact, in your words. Budget, booster support, and what an award would change. There is no single number that qualifies a school.
  • Not a background check. We do not ask for SSNs, dates of birth, or student records. We will contact the school to verify.
